Kime Future Film Studio is an international film and advertising studio with teams across Melbourne, Sydney, Chengdu, Beijing, and Shanghai.
The studio works across branded films, commercials, documentaries, narrative content, virtual production, and AIGC workflows, pairing global perspective with local production insight.
FOUNDER PROFILE
Kime Cheng
Bilingual Director / Producer / Australia-based / ADG Member
Kime Cheng is an Australia-based bilingual filmmaker, director, and producer. He holds a Master of Film and Television from the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, and completed virtual production training at Beijing Film Academy.
Mentored by leading Australian producer Stephen Luby, Kime works between directing and production strategy. Before founding Kime Future Film Studio, he worked within international 4A creative systems including Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi, and dentsu Creative, serving global brands across commercials, branded films, and launch campaigns.
His work explores how technology reshapes everyday life and the relationship between humans and machines. He has extensive overseas production experience and is fluent in cross-cultural collaboration with English-speaking crews.
Kime served as director and executive producer for all video materials on Geely New Energy Starray EM-i's Australian Guinness challenge, and as lead producer for Changan Q05's launch campaign in Thailand. His network spans production resources across Australia, China, Thailand, and wider international markets.
His commercial films have repeatedly reached the Top 3 on Xinpianchang's overall, creative, and automotive advertising charts. His short film Last Spring was selected by Black Cat Award, Toronto Nolando, Lift-Off Global Network, North East International Film Festival, and Mexico Queer Film Festival. In 2025, his sci-fi work The Good Husband, written and directed by Kime, premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
